Or lack thereof. Today’s planned trip to take Erin’s old car t othe wrecker’s yard proved to me unequivicolly how little I know about the damn things. Like how to jump-start one (since Erin’s battery had run flat). Or about how they’re always supposed to be parked in gear (since when using Peta’s car to jump-start Erin’s I had to put my foot on the cluch in order to start it — a pecularity of Peta’s car. Upon taking my foot off the clutch the car jerked forward, stalled, and narrowly missed the gate in front of me). I love being the anti-stereotype. I’m the only male in the family (apart from my father). What I know about cars could be engraved in big letters on a pin.

haha good stuff. glad u can scan networks better than u drive! just playin. ya know, i didnt know much about cars either but when my power lift motor (the thing that makes windows go up and down in electrical system) died on me, and i was told it’d cost me over $300 USD, my inquisitive nature kicked in and i spent some time researching the issue. i ended up paying less than $90 USD on the replacement motor and spent essentially an entire saturday afternoon installing the beast (i had to go to the local hardware store and rent a drill half way through the procedure!) but i did it. it feels good to accomplish something and save some cash at the same time. being stubbornly self-reliant has its benefits afterall!
