Sudden Burst of Energy

Wow…this makes three posts tonight… four if you count the draft I put up earlier when I finally finished it, all within a very narrow time-span of each other. I have a sudden burst of energy, not an uncommon thing when my latest dose of meds kicks in. It’ll wear of very soon and I’ll be ready to sleep…but still…

Regular readers of SOML (which there are exactly 0… I’m not kidding myself. I don’t post often enough to have what you’d call a ‘regular readership’) would be pleased to note that this is the highest concentration of posts by me ummm… ever, I believe.

And frankly, don’t ask me why this deserves a post all of it’s own…but I think I’m going to keep a promise to myself now, and I’m using this as a sign of it. I’m going to make at least 1 post every day now, and over the upcoming holiday period I’m going to make a totally new frontend for this blog, becuase this default one really doesn’t suit my tone. I’m tossing pu between colour scemes, whether to go with something dark and soothing, or bright and happy. Feel free to chime in with suggestions. I may even make a generic layout and have several user selectable colour schemes available. All depends on how generous and expansive I’m feeling.

Wowsers! You’ve really made up for lost time here! After all the countless nights I’ve checked this site, FINALLY, something happens. Kudos and a woot for you I say!
Make sure you stick to your promise of making a post a day! Also a tip too, get Haloscan, this commenting layout is a shit, but that’s just me. Also too,
join Melbourne Blogs and get your blog out and about. Also all this coding that is appearing all over the place, fix that too. Just another bit of advice, dont always
neccessarily talk about computer\programming\nerdy stuff. I know it’s you but it depends on how much you want to atrract readers. Maybe you only want to appeal to the
masses of D&D players\programmers\whatever - like a target audience (there goes the marketing talk). Or maybe you’re not fussed and want to ramble on and whoever
reads and likes it, likes it. Now and again is fine to discuss Javascript or other odds and ends, but think about what people would like to see, comment on something going on in the world, your own observations, thoughts, feelings, something people can either get a kick out of,a smile, an “agreeance” (yes there is such a word), or feel they can relate. Or better still, experiment. The blogosphere is your oyster!

You may be suprised to know that you do have a ‘regular readership’…I know of at least 3 of us that look at it daily

…why attract readers? Your blog can be a reflection of you; or it can be a grab for attention.

It could be a reflection of you that poeple may find interesting to learn about, thus attracting readers. Of course, you may want to do
just a private thing. There are so many directions you can take a blog…
